Geelong Festival: Some of the Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers couldn't stop their feet from tapping during the Club's Christmas/New Year break, so they headed to the Geelong Festival this weekend and by all accounts had an absolute ball. Our member Trudi teamed up with Raymond from the Geelong for the Jack'n'Jill comp. and walked away with 1st prize.....well done! Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers members Ken and Jane also had fun participating in the Adult Beginner Competition and were awarded 3rd prize! See the photos below.
The Bendigo Jailhouse Rockers meet each MONDAY night at 7:30pm till 10:00pm at St Andrews Hall 24 Myers St, Bendigo. That's at the top end of St Andrews Av, just up from the Council Offices in the centre of town.
We provide to our members and the general public a variety of lessons including Rock’n’Roll & Swing. Each of these lessons are run over a seven (7) week course for only $42 per course. $20 for under 18's.
We are currently running additional lesson nights every second Thursday for rock’n’roll partner and line dancing ($5 for members, $8 for non-members).
We run three major dances each year in March, May and August, featuring fantastic rock’n’roll bands plus a 3 day festival Fri-Sun, in October.
